Servicing Pianos in the Hardin County, KY Area
Price ranges below should give a general idea of what services might cost. A piano that has not been tuned for a long time will take more time to service, and will cost a little more, than a piano that has had regular servicing. Cash or check are preferred forms of payment.
If it is not possible to tune or repair your piano, there will not be any charge for the visit.
Piano Fine Tuning $125-200
This is a good option for a piano that has been tuned within the last year or so. I will tune using both an ETD (Electronic Tuning Device) and by ear (aurally) to insure a great sound. This service also includes minor cleaning and thorough inspection of the piano.
Time Estimate: Roughly 2-3 hours
Cleaning $25-100
Let me sweep some of the unsightly cobwebs out of your old piano. Debris between keys can affect function. I can deep clean your piano.
Regulation $200-600
As pianos are played their actions wear and eventually have to be regulated in order to continue functioning. Pianos that need to be regulated often have keys that are uneven and may not function correctly. Regulation can be a lengthy process. However, it can help an old piano work its best.
Pitch Raise Piano Tuning
(Done during fine tuning if needed)
This service is recommended for pianos that have not been tuned for several years. Pitch raises are a very fast rough tuning to bring pianos close to being in tune. In order to fine tune a badly out of tune piano, it has to have a pitch raise first.
Time Estimate: 30 minutes
Repairs $25-60hour
Sometimes repairs are needed. Small repairs can usually be done in home. More complicated repairs might require the action to be removed and repaired offsite.
